I Love a Parade!
I Love a Parade!
It’s a song, folks! You’re supposed to feel the beat, get out of your seat, and MOVE!
For those that may not think they have a “show” horse or don’t want to spend those hard-earned dollars for show fees, a parade is a great way to show your little ones (yes, horses and kids or grandkids) off to the public. One organizer that heard we might be considering their parade got very excited over the phone. She “loved those little horses” and she hoped “we’d bring them to the parade!” Her enthusiasm was catching.
You can simply lead the horse and your heart can’t help but melt when you hear a child exclaim, “Oh, Mommy. Look at the little horses.” You can wear shorts or dress fancy. I mean, where else have you been lately that you could wear that old “after 5” outfit? Put it on, hop in your cart and drive down the street in style. Let your imagination run free. Decorate your cart and/or your horse. You could even wear a costume. At one parade we had two little minis dressed as a bride and groom. Have fun with it!
Ta-dum, ta-dum, parum pum pum. Get up and get moving! Look at our Special Events schedule and pick a parade. Call Liz Rohde and let her know you want to participate.
