If you don’t already know about YAKTRAX you may want to consider getting a pair – especially with the nasty winters we all seem to be having. These little babies are metal coils attached to rubber that strap onto your boots with Velcro and instantly give you the traction you need in icy conditions. 

You can probably find these at places like Gander Mountain, REI, Cabellas, etc., or look online. Once you use them, you’ll never want to be without them again.  They cost about $25.00  –  so much cheaper than a broken arm or leg.
